"Providing families with the resources they deserve"

In Congress, I’m working to ensure local municipalities have Coronavirus relief funds by sponsoring the Cares Act, co-authoring the Heroes Act, and the recently passed American Rescue Plan. This legislation will support hard-hit Americans with $1,4000 checks, assist millions of families who are behind on their rent or facing evictions, and puts in place resources to get vaccines in arms, expand access to testing, and ensure our kids can get back to school safely. I’m also making sure that we safeguard our essential workers and ensure that they get the resources and protections that they need. My colleagues and I sent a joint letter to the US Department of Agriculture, Department of Labor, and Health and Human Services, requiring them to do all that they can to ensure that every essential worker is able to do their job in a safe and healthy environment.
