Cardenas for Congress Announces Endorsements of Key California Legislators
Assembly Members Bob Blumenfield, Nora Campos, Henry Perea &
Senators Carol Liu and Juan Vargas Join Growing List of Cardenas Supporters
Los Angeles, CA – Tony Cardenas received the endorsements of Assembly Budget chairman Bob Blumenfield (D, Woodland Hills) Assembly members Nora Campos (D-San Jose) and Henry Perea (D-Fresno) and Senators Carol Liu (D-Pasadena) and Juan Vargas (D-San Diego) today.
“I’m proud to have these distinguished members of the legislature join the broad and diverse group of leaders who support my campaign,” Cardenas said. “I know that when we put aside politics as usual we can create jobs and get our economy back on track.”
The open Northeast San Fernando Valley (29th) Congressional District tentatively approved by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission earlier this week is composed of 56% Democrats, 17% Republicans and represents approximately 69% Latinos.
No current Member of Congress resides in this new district. |
